HBO, Cinemax Programming Now Available Through Amazon Prime
Cord cutters looking to binge-watch the latest episodes of Westworld and Game of Thrones can now do so via Amazon.
Beginning today, HBO and sister net Cinemax will offer subscriptions through Amazon Prime for $14.99 and $9.99 per month, respectively.
Similar to the standalone HBO Now streaming service, a subscription to the premium cable network via Amazon will allow viewers to watch the newest episodes of all current HBO programming — including Girls, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, Divorce, Insecure and Ballers — as well as marathon classic series such as The Sopranos, Sex and the City, True Blood and The Wire. (As for Cinemax, its catalog includes Quarry, The Knick, Strike Back and Banshee, among others.) An array of blockbuster films will also be available through each subscription.

But unlike HBO Now — which, we should note, also costs $14.99/month — a subscription through Amazon will not grant you access to a live channel stream. Instead, subscribers will be able to watch premium titles after they air, similar to HBO Go.
