Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko is not pleased with the actress’ new boyfriend, Brian Hickerson.
According to US Weekly, sources close to Panettiere tell them Klitschko“Vlad was so in love with Hayden that he looks the other way with regard to some things but Brian has tested Vlad’s patience and kindness.”
The former boxer especially takes issue with Hickerson’s arrest for domestic violence, which stemmed from an incident accusing him of assaulting Panettiere. The charges were later dropped after she refused to cooperate with prosecutors.
Panettiere reportedly is back together with Hickerson and denying their issues.A source told US, “Vlad thinks that Brian is a user and overall bad guy” and believes Hickerson is “controlling Hayden and enabling all of her bad habits.”
Klitschko currently lives in Ukraine with Panettiere’s 4-year-old daughter Kaya. he reportedly refuses to allow Hickerson around Kaya. The source claims “When Hayden visits it has to be without him.”
Panettiere regularly makes trips to Ukraine to see her daughter. She also stays in contact with frequent FaceTime calls. Panettiere has not had custody of her daughter since splitting with Klitschko in August 2018.
A source told People, “Her life is in flux with her daughter living away, and she has other issues weighing on her mind.”
The “Nashville” actress and the former professional boxer started dating in 2009. They split in 2011 but reunited in 2013.The two eventually got engaged and had their daughter in 2014.
Panettiere last posted a photo of her daughter in February with the caption, “Sweet moments with sleeping babes ❤️”
Hickerson was arrested back in May for alleged domestic violence. The incident allegedly involved Panettiere and her family has been begging her to leave him ever since.
According to court documents, Hickerson “willfully inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition upon Hayden P.” Hickerson was charged with felony domestic violence following his arrest. The charges were dropped earlier this year.Following Kaya’s birth, Panettiere checked herself into rehab to receive treatment for postpartum depression.She opened up about the struggles on Good Morning America saying, “"It takes you a while and you feel off. You don't feel like yourself."
The actress added, "Women are so resilient, and that's the incredible thing about them. I think I'm all the stronger for it. I think I'm a better mom because of it because you never take that connection for granted."
She compared her struggles with her “Nashville” characters on-screen issues. "It absolutely helped me," she said of playing her country star character. "I think it helped me identify what was going on. And to let women know that it's OK to ask for help and it's OK to have a moment of weakness. It doesn't make you a bad person, doesn't make you a bad mother. It makes you a very strong, resilient woman. You've just got to let it make you stronger."
