Hawkeye Season 2 Release Date Rumors: Is It Coming Out?

Hawkeye fans are curious about whether or not a second season for the show will happen and whether or not they will see the return of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop for another round of duo street-level crimefighting. Hawkeye last aired six episodes between late November and late December 2021.

Is there a Hawkeye Season 2 release date?

At the time of writing, Hawkeye Season 2 does not have an official release date.

Moreover, it seems unlikely that a second season for Hawkeye will ever happen, considering that the series was billed as a miniseries. However, in May 2022 during the Emmy Awards Season, Hawkeye was listed by Disney for consideration for Outstanding Comedy Series. It is important to note that the keyword mentioned there is “series” and not “limited series”. This seems to indicate the possibility of a second season happening later down the road.

Though the ending of the first season seemed to conclude Clint Barton’s story, it also seemed open-ended and hinted at future episodes. It showed Clint Barton beginning to further train Kate Bishop, whom he took with him to his farm for the Christmas holidays, in combat and archery, in order to eventually pass down his Hawkeye mantle to her.

Hawkeye’s cast includes Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, Fra Fee, Vera Farmiga, Linda Cardellini, and Florence Pugh, among other cast members.

Where is Hawkeye Season 2 coming out?

Hawkeye Season 2 isn’t confirmed to release on Disney Plus anytime soon.

The official synopsis for Hawkeye reads:

“Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.”
