Hawk on “The Masked Singer” reveals which “Teen Wolf ”costar should do the show next

Fair warning to wizards, witches, and Muggles alike: This week's Masked Singer episode may just put a spell on you.
To recap, it was Harry Potter Night on the disguised celeb singing show, so scenes, props, and characters from the Wizarding World popped up. Season 2 finalist Flamingo, a.k.a. Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, kicked off the night with a rousing performance of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You," the Sorting Hat determined the contestants' Hogwarts Houses, and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg — let's be honest — completely stole the show in her hilarious Dumbledore costume.
The contestants — Hawk, Husky, Tiki, and all-new wildcard Sea Queen — had to perform appropriately witchy songs. In this case, Tiki sang "Magic" by Pilot, Husky performed "Super Freak" by Rick James, Hawk opted for "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by the Police, and Sea Queen did "Love Potion No. 9" by the Searchers.
After Tiki and Hawk were sent to the smackdown to sing "Monster" by Lady Gaga, the feathered fiend was ultimately eliminated. In what has become a surprising rarity this season, Ken Jeong did not correctly guess Hawk's identity when it came time, but he was in good company. None of the panelists were able to conjure the correct guess. Picks ranged from Ryan Phillippe (Robin Thicke's), to Chad Michael Murray (McCarthy-Wahlberg's), to Cole Sprouse (Jeong's), to Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong (Nicole Scherzinger's). But, in the end, all of those Teen Wolf clues pointed to one person: actor and musician Tyler Posey.
Here, Posey opens up to EW about his plans for raising mental health awareness, whether becoming a werewolf or a Hawk is more difficult, and which of his Teen Wolf costars he wants to see on The Masked Singer next.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: In your clue package this week, you got really vulnerable and open about your own mental health struggles and why you got help. Thank you for doing that.
TYLER POSEY: Wow, thanks. Thank you. I really appreciate that. I feel like it's part of my duty to share my experience, and inspire other people to get help, or take down the stigma. We got a lot of work to do when it comes to that. I have a huge vision. And I want to get it implemented in schools very, very young, so that when you're in first grade, or even preschool, you're already talking about your feelings and there's access to a therapy class. So, it's a longer project of mine, but I definitely want to, I think it's very important.
I love that and couldn't agree more. Tell me, why did you want to do The Masked Singer in the first place?
I love performing. I love doing really weird things on TV. I love a good challenge. I'm competitive. They all kind of fit into this category of like, "Oh, this is exactly what I want to be doing." It's super weird, you know? You get fitted for a costume. They make the costume for you. And then you're in this sweaty costume for hours and you're performing. It's just a bizarre, fun, random thing. It's a fun thing for adults to do — like an adult playground, you know? And I don't know why you wouldn't want to give it a try.
What was more difficult — transforming into a werewolf or becoming the Hawk?
Man, honestly, with Teen Wolf, once all the makeup was put on, and then back in the earlier seasons, we had contact lenses that were bright yellow, or red, and once those went on, you were fully transformed. You didn't really have to give it too much effort to transform you, it already was done for you. And that's how I felt with the Hawk. As soon as the head and the wings went on, I really felt like an action star, and I felt like a superhero. The costumers on the show are incredible. They do it all basically and you just have to stand there and put it on. It is difficult kind of to perform once it's on, but transforming into it is pretty easy.
There were a lot of Teen Wolf clues. Did you follow along with the fanbase totally knowing you were the Hawk?
No, I wasn't. I've been on my honeymoon, so I really wasn't following along too much. We got married on the 14th. So I really haven't been following, but I'm interested. I think I'm gonna do it tonight because we're finally done. We're in real life now. So I'm gonna check on tonight and see what's going on.
In the spirit of Harry Potter Night, which Hogwarts House do you actually belong in and why?
I think Gryffindor honestly. I've always felt like a good leader. I love Harry Potter. I don't know the house qualifications that well, but I know Harry Potter was a leader, and so I really feel like Gryffindor would be mine. It just feels right.

What did you take away from your Masked Singer experience?
It's challenging. I think I took away mostly that everyone behind the scenes are extremely talented. The people who rewrite the songs and rerecord them into a different rendition that fits your voice, the costumers, the producers, the onset directors, the camera operators, everybody was just so on point. I was just really impressed with it. So that's my biggest takeaway. And I loved it. I was really flattered and honored to be part of it. I know that a lot of the contestants before me have been huge stars. It's just always such a cute reminder that I'm appreciated in this career that I chose 26 years ago. It's cool to see it come to fruition in moments like this.
Which of your famous friends would you like to see do the show next?
I think [Teen Wolf costar] Colton Haynes would be a fabulous contestant. I think he would love it. He dresses up all the time for Halloween, like in huge extravagant costumes. He's a great singer. I just think he would really eat it up.
