Comedian Hasan Minhaj has expanded his ongoing “Off With His Head Tour” to include a new run of North American dates slated for 2024.
Kicking off in Chicago on January 12th, the new 32-show leg will take Minhaj and his topical humor to cities like Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Toronto, Seattle, Phoenix, and more, wrapping with a final date in Las Vegas on June 1st. According to the announcement the set will feature new material, taking on “challenging themes like politics, parenting, and therapy.”
Tickets for the “Off With His Head Tour” will first become available via an artist pre-sale on Ticketmaster, opening on Thursday, November 16th, at 10:00 a.m. local time (use access code HASAN). Tickets will then go on sale for the general public via Ticketmaster on Friday, November 17th, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
In the meantime, Minhaj is set to finish out his 2023 dates with a handful of shows in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and the East Coast this winter. Check out his full list of upcoming tour dates below, and grab your tickets here.
This past August, it was indicated that Minhaj was the frontrunner to become the new host of The Daily Show, but in October Puck News reported that he was no longer in consideration for the gig. The decision partly had to do with a negative piece written on Minhaj by The New Yorker, which asserted that Minhaj had embellished some of the stories of discrimination he tells in his standup act.
Around a week after the story about Minhaj losing the Daily Show hosting gig broke, he responded to The New Yorker article with a lengthy explanation video, in which he called the report “needlessly misleading.”
Last year, Minhaj spoke with Consequence about his writing process, his passion for performing, his love of BTS, and more, touching on the powerful human-to-human exchange that standup is conducive to. “The feeling of sharing something that’s been in your head or in your heart and having the audience have an involuntary reaction like laughing — you feel so seen,” he said.
