Harvey Weinstein is expected to turn himself into New York authorities on Friday after an investigation into claims of sexual assault, according to reports from the New York Times, NBC New York, and the New York Daily News.

According to the Daily News, a grand jury was held weeks ago to hear evidence against the former Hollywood executive, but his attorney, Benjamin Brafman, declined to comment. The Times notes that the investigation into Weinstein has been going on for months.

NBC New York reports that Weinstein will turn himself in to face charges related to allegations of sexual abuse. It’s unconfirmed which specific accusations are included in the charges against Weinstein. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that federal prosecutors had also launched an investigation into allegations against Weinstein, though it’s unclear what claims they are investigating.

More than 50 women have come forward with allegations against Harvey Weinstein, since the New York Times and The New Yorker published investigations into his alleged history of sexual misconduct. The allegations against him include sexual assault, harassment, and unwanted advances. In response to the Times investigation, Weinstein released a statement partially acknowledging the accusations, saying, “I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it."

Weinstein’s lawyers have said he denies any claims of nonconsensual sex. “Mr. Weinstein has always maintained that he has never engaged in nonconsensual sexual acts,” Brafman told the Journal.
