The crossover we didn’t know we needed!

Harry Styles was spotted at female K-pop group BLACKPINK‘s concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, causing excitement among One Direction fans and BLACKPINK fans alike.

The singer, 25, was seen by an eagle-eyed concertgoer who shared a video of Styles enjoying the performance to social media. “HARRY IS A BLINK CONFIRMED,” the tweeter wrote, referencing the name for BLACKPINK fans.

In the video, Styles can be seen wearing a grey beanie and leaning in to watch the performance.

BLACKPINK’s show at The Forum in Los Angeles was the first U.S. stop on their In Your Area world tour. Last Friday, the group performed during the first weekend of Coachella, becoming the first female K-pop act to perform at the music festival in its 20-year history.

The rising K-pop group dropped their first two songs — “Boombayah” and “Whistle” — two years ago and have steadily become one of the most popular K-pop acts of all time. Their single, “Ddu-Du, Ddu-Du,” debuted at No. 55 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June, making them the highest-charting female K-pop act ever in the U.S.

Then on April 4, the music video for their latest single, “Kill This Love,” became the most-watched music video in a 24 hour period in YouTube history, clocking in with 56.7 million views and surpassing the record held by Ariana Grande’sThank U, Next.” Just three days later, the clip broke another record when it became the fastest music video to hit 100 million views on the platform.

“Kill This Love” fronts an EP of the same name released on April 5, and it follows their nine-song first album, BLACKPINK in Your Area.

In 2017, BLACKPINK teamed up with Dua Lipa on the single, “Kiss and Make Up.”

Unlike many female K-pop groups that have six to nine members, BLACKPINK consists of only four — Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo. All of the girls sing, but Jennie and Lisa also serve as the group’s rappers.

When BLACKPINK made their debut, YG Entertainment revealed in a statement that the group’s name is meant to contrast the common association of femininity with the color pink.

“The meaning of BLACKPINK aims to contradict the common perception of the color pink,” the statement read. “Pink is commonly used to portray prettiness, but BLACKPINK actually means to say that ‘Pretty isn’t everything.’ It also symbolizes that they are a team that encompasses not only beauty, but also great talent.”
