Hilariously Thirsty

Harry Styles was both the host and musical guest on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, and while people are definitely talking about his new song, "Watermelon Sugar," and his apparent shade of ex-One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik, what really went viral was a hilariously horny skit about Sara Lee Bread's Instagram account.

Styles plays a social media intern that keeps mixing up his personal account with the Sara Lee Bread Instagram account, and all of the thirsty mishaps that that could bring.

The Clip Has Gone Viral

The clip has gotten over a million views since it was posted to the SNL YouTube channel, but the internet couldn't get the idea of Styles sending a DM to Shawn Mendes of his open throat, so of course things escalated.

Apparently leaving embarrassingly thirsty comments on Instagram accounts hit close to home with many people, so Styles fans decided to inundate the Sara Lee Bread Instagram account with thirsty comments like the ones that he left in the skit.

Moving To Real Social Media

Fans started leaving sexually explicit comments and quotes from the skit on Sara Lee's Instagram, which is not exactly the carb creator's real brand message.

"WHY NO RESPONSE"

"SPIT IN MY MOUTH"

"Must get rid of toxic in the community"

"🍆🍆🍆💦🚂 👻"

It got to the point where Sara Lee temporarily shut down the comments of their account in order to investigate the situation. SNL star Bowen Yang tweeted out his disappointment, saying:

"Sara Lee disabling and deleting IG comments wow they really could have been THE bread for f*gs. 😞"

However, it wasn't out of malice, just to discover the source of this thirsty mystery.

Sara Lee Company Releases A Statement

Sara Lee quickly clarified that they only turned off the comments in order to investigate why this was happening. Once they discovered the source of the thirst, Bimbo Bakeries USA, the company that makes Sara Lee products, released a statement to The Advocate proving that they were good sports.

"We didn’t know about or participate in the creation of the skit so as you can imagine, waking up to all those comments threw us for a bit of a loop. We didn’t delete any comments but did temporarily hide them until we could read through and understand what happened. All comments are now visible and we will be monitoring for any that violate Instagram standards. While the explicit jokes in the skit do not align with Sara Lee Bread’s brand, we know SNL pushes the envelope for laughs and are taking it all in stride."
