Miriam Margolyes, best known for her role as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter franchise, stopped by British talk show This Morning to talk about the high class worlds of art and theater. But hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield had ice cream cones, and everything went beautifully off track.

The hosts’ continued attempts to ask questions were repeatedly interrupted by their inability to hold back laughter as Margolyes made no attempt at civility. The crunch of the cone would be heard in the background as they were speaking, and Margolyes had no problem answering questions with her mouth full of ice cream, which she warned them about early on when Schofield tried to as about a painting.

“That’s what you get out of painting. It’s not the fact that you’re knowledgeable. … I’m making this a really long question so you can swallow,” Schofield said with a laugh. “No, it’s okay,” Margolyes replied. “I’ll talk with my mouth full.”

Perhaps the best moment came when she was talking about her new role in the play Madame Rubenstein. Though she can boast an acting career spanning more than 50 years, Margolyes said that this is her most terrifying role. The reason? Her character is very elegant. And, as if it was meant to be, just before explaining her fear of playing someone elegant, she took a bite of the ice cream cone, leaving ice cream around her mouth that she was unaware of.
