Harry Morton Died Of A Massive Heart Attack, Suffered Artery Blockage

Harry Morton's family says the famed restauranteur died after suffering a massive heart attack.

The Morton family released a statement following his death revealing details of how the 38-year-old tragically passed away earlier this week.According to the findings Harry suffered from a coronary artery disease, which is a narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries

Morton also had a “mildly enlarged heart."

The family included in their statement quotes from family friend and heart surgeon Dr. Kathy Magliato who said Harry “Had calcification in three main arteries and suffered sudden cardiac death an unexpected death caused by loss of heart function.”

Suffered From Coronary Artery Disease

The family added, “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved son, brother, and friend. Harry was the brightest light in all our lives and his spirit will live on forever.”

According to reports, Dr. Matthew Miller of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, confirmed to the family that Morton had coronary artery disease.

The family will be holding a memorial service for Harry this Saturday in Beverly Hills.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has not released it's official findings with the public, but confirmed an autopsy was conducted on Monday.

The office has officially "deferred" the official cause of death pending toxicology and other tests. According to the family, tests are carried out, including microscopy of his other organs.

Friends And Family Morn The Tragic Loss

But, the family says they have consulted the coroner's office and the specifics align with the findings in the autopsy.

Harry was a successful businessman who founded the popular Mexican food chain "Pink Taco."

Pink Taco issued a statement following his death, saying, “We are saddened by the passing of Harry Morton, the founder and former owner of Pink Taco. Harry was a visionary and restaurateur ahead of his time, and his contributions, both professionally to our brand and personally to those he worked with, were numerous. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”

In addition, Harry formerly owned the Viper Room nightclub in West Hollywood, which had other famous owners like Johnny Depp.

Harry was well known for his romantic links to A-listers like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Moore, Paris Hilton, and Jennifer Aniston.
