Harrison Ford's Reason for Doing New 'Indiana Jones'

Harrison Ford stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday to promote the Blu-Ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but also talked about his plans to film another installment of Indiana Jones.

Ford had previously been resistant to filming another sequel. Kimmel asked, “Did they finally come up with an idea that you loved?” Ford responded, “Yeah,” then added, “I haven’t read the script. I’m talking about the contract.” He then laughed the laugh of a man that has been offered an absurd amount of money.

The actor went on to explain that money was not the only reason he signed on to reprise the role of Indiana Jones. “It’s great fun to play this character. It’s great fun to work with Steven [Spielberg]. I’m looking forward to it.”

Kimmel pressed Ford for information about the plot, but he was as tight-lipped about that as he was about the plot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
