If you’re wondering why Harrison Ford is trending, fear not, the Star Wars icon is alive and well. It won’t stay that way, though, if people don’t start taking climate change seriously, according to the actor.

Ford took the stage at Thursday’s Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco and declared climate change the “great moral compass of our time.”

“If we don’t change the path that we’re on today, the future of humanity is at stake,” the actor said in a passionate speech. “While you work to meet the challenge of climate change, I beg of you, don’t forget nature.”

“For God’s sake, stop electing leaders who don’t believe in science,” he added, according to those in attendance, via Twitter. “Or even worse, pretend they don’t believe in science” for political self-interest. “Never forget who you’re fighting for.”

Ford declared, “If we can’t protect nature, we can’t protect ourselves,” adding “we are s*** out of time… Let’s turn off our phones, roll up our sleeves and kick this monster’s ass.”

While the hot-button topic of climate change can be politically divisive, people on Twitter were aligned on being happy Ford wasn’t trending for the wrong reasons.
