Happy Thanksgiving: Jimmy Fallon, Matthew McConaughey, more share messages of thanks, love

Thanksgiving is the perfect time of year to wish others well, acknowledge those who have helped you throughout the year, express love and give back.

Celebrities flocked to social media on Thursday to post their Thanksgiving messages. They did so in a variety of fashions. Some, including Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, shared well-wishes with their followers, some expressed their gratitude to their families, and some gave back to their communities, all in the spirit of the holiday.

Some celebs, including Kim Kardashian West, even made multiple posts to celebrate the holiday. And others, such as model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen, took to Instagram stories to document their meal-prep process before digging in themselves.

Jennifer Aniston

The "Morning Show" and "Friends" star posed with a tray of enchiladas at Friendsgiving in an Instagram post. Aniston tagged television host Jimmy Kimmel in the caption, "Ok, @jimmykimmel... here are your (expletive) Friendsgiving enchiladas," she wrote.

Courteney Cox, the Monica to Aniston's Rachel on "Friends," commented on the post. "I will say Jen...I loved that (expletive) enchilada ♥️" she wrote.

The enchiladas did look better than the traditional English trifle that Aniston presented as Rachel Green in a Thanksgiving episode of Friends in 1999 that included multiple layers of custard, peas and beef, among other ingredients. The Food Network has a recipe to replicate the Thanksgiving treat in case any interested fans want to give it a shot.

Matthew McConaughey

McConaughey spent Thanksgiving serving others. He posted a sequence of photos to Instagram: "all servants served," he wrote.

McConaughey and other volunteers served up barbecue to first responders at the Los Angeles Fire Department as they celebrated Thanksgiving. (And he made time to pose for some photos, too.)

Oprah

Winfrey cooked Thanksgiving dinner with her nieces a few days early in Milwaukee, she shared with her fans in an Instagram post.

In the photo, the group held up mimosas in celebration. "When there's too many cooks in the kitchen kitchen... mimosas help! Cheers everyone," she wrote.

Jimmy Fallon

The host of "The Tonight Show" celebrated the holiday at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He posed with Ronald McDonald and others in a photo on Instagram and captioned the post "Ron."

But before he floated through the parade, which he posted about on his Instagram stories, he spent time doing good for others.

On Wednesday, Fallon volunteered at the Food Bank for New York City. He posted a series of images on Instagram, one of which was a shot of him taking a selfie with someone he served.

"Thank you everyone for letting me volunteer with @foodbank4nyc Community Kitchen in Harlem, a partner of @feedingamerica," he wrote in the caption.

"You are all angels for what you do," he continued in the caption. "It feels SO good to me to give back even just a little and get some smiles early in the morning. And I’m ALWAYS down for a selfie if you ask me. We served 111 hot breakfasts yesterday!"

Megan Thee Stallion

McConaughey and Fallon weren't the only celebrities to give back this Thanksgiving. Artist Megan Thee Stallion volunteered at Houston Food Bank on Wednesday.

According to her post, she landed in the city and immediately went to work the food bank.

"we’ve already donated over 1,000 turkeys to families in Houston and still giving them out tonight and tomorrow!!! Thank you @houstonfoodbank and all the volunteers that came out for helping me give back to the city," she wrote in the post's caption.
