Did you know that Australia's "royal" family includes a Floridian? That's if you count the beloved Irwin family as royalty.

Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, shared a sentimental Instagram post about her husband, Chandler Powell, ahead of their fourth wedding anniversary. Steve Irwin was the Crocodile Hunter who gained international fame for his Animal Planet series of the same name. Bindi Irwin appeared in the show as a young girl.

“I was 17, you were 19 when this photo was taken, nine years ago,” the 25-year-old wildlife conservationist and TV personality wrote. “Falling in love with you was immediate. Loving you more every day is utterly effortless.”

“All these years later and every time you smile at me, my heart skips a beat,” she continued. “Here’s to a lifetime of love.

How did Bindi Irwin meet her husband, Chandler Powell of Seffner, Florida?

The couple had the ultimate "meet cute." As their story goes, the pair met in November 2013 when he and his family visited the Australia Zoo while in town for a wakeboarding championship. He ended up on a tour being given by the Irwin family, and the two hit it off instantly.

"He sent a letter asking my mom if he could stay in contact with me and then mom gave the letter to me and said, 'Is this person real or?' and then we stayed in touch ever since," Bindi said to "Entertainment Tonight" in 2016.

Further interviews share the two started off as friends while he attended college at the University of Central Florida and she stayed in Queensland, Australia.

When did Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell start dating?

It wasn't until 2015 that the pair went public about their relationship, according to People magazine.

In 2020, while competing on season 21's "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles (which she eventually went on to win), she talked about Powell and their relationship.

"We talk every day and are together every two to three months," she told the magazine about how they made their long-distance relationship work. "Thankfully I've found someone who is an outdoors kind of person. We'll go have adventures or picnic in the park."

A few months later, she'd take it to the next step — making their relationship "Instagram official" on Powell's birthday, Nov. 14.

"Happy birthday to a person who inspires me every day," Irwin wrote. "A soul who makes me smile no matter where I am in the world, despite any amount of distance. Thank you for the endless hugs, late night conversations about life, holding my hand when a loud noise scares me and laughing along with all of my Bindi moments. I'm blessed to be a part of your world."

Has Bindi Irwin gone back to Chandler Powell's hometown in Florida?

Powell would end up making the big switch to the Australian Eastern Standard Time zone, moving to Queensland in 2018 to be with Irwin full-time. The two ended up getting engaged the following year on Irwin's birthday.

But has Irwin ever journeyed to the Sunshine State, considered the "Australia of the United States?" (Psst, there is a Melbourne, Florida.)

Turns out, yes! Several social media post over the years show Irwin and Powell heading to the States to meet up with Powell's family and squeeze in an extra trip to the Florida theme parks on the way.

In 2020, Irwin and Powell married in an intimate ceremony at the Australia Zoo with just three guests: her mom Terri, her brother Robert and her late father's best friend Wes Manni.

Due to the pandemic, they changed their plans from having a 200-guest wedding to a much smaller ceremony, saying they just wanted to be married. They have stated that while it was not "by the book," it was perfect.

The following year, they expected their daughter, Grace Warrior, on March 25, the same day as their wedding anniversary.

"Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter," Bindi wrote on Instagram. "There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed."
