Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza are reuniting for another indie comedy after they both starred together in the queer Christmas flick Happiest Season last year.

They will be joined by Alessandro Nivola (You Were Never Really Here), Molly Shannon (Will & Grace) and Lil Rel Howery (Judas and the Black Messiah) with Tim Heidecker, Ben Sinclair, Fred Armisen, Ayden Mayeri, Debby Ryan, Zach Woods, Ego Nwodim, Lauren Weedman and Jake Picking rounding out the cast.

The new project, titled Spin Me Round, will be directed by Jeff Baena who also wrote the script with Brie.

The pair previously collaborated on Horse Girl (also starring Brie), which was released on Netflix in 2020.

Brie will play the manager of the Bakersfield, California franchise of the Italian chain eatery Tuscan Grove.

She is invited to an all-expenses trip to the company's gorgeous 'institute' outside Florence, Italy where she will get the chance to meet the chain's wealthy and charismatic owner, played by Nivola.

While she imagined the trip to be a romantic fantasy, she will embark on a very different adventure along with a mismatched group of local American franchise managers.

No announcements have yet been made about which characters will be played by any of the other cast members, but the premise of the film will surely make way for many individual performances to emerge.

The production company behind this new project, Limelight, also produced the Andy Samberg comedy Palm Springs, and is currently working on the Hulu limited series Pam and Tommy, starring The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's Sebastian Stan, about the infamous theft of a sex tape involving newlyweds Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

While there is no current release date for Spin Me Round, production begins next month in Italy, so we expect it to release sometime in 2022.
