Celebrities are just like us. Although when we think of celebrities, we think of them having all of their meals catered to them by personal chefs, even Thanksgiving Dinner. However, some celebrities actually enjoy cooking their own food, at least Thanksgiving and other holiday meals.

This may be the case with a couple of them that we know of, although we can't speak for any other celebrity in the world. Two celebrities that we know of for sure who prepare and cook their own holiday meals are Meryl Streep and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Even though they both enjoy making their own Thanksgiving dinner, there is more proof that they are people just like us. They tend to also mess things up, drop things, spill things, and Streep proved it by messing up the most important part of the meal, the turkey!

It wasn't bad enough that Streep has an oven that she doesn't like and doesn't cook things properly. So, when her guests sat down to dinner thinking they were going to get a nice dinner for Thanksgiving one year, Streep cut into the turkey to serve it to others and found a surprise. The turkey, to her astonishment, wasn't all the way done. Her oven doesn't work well enough and didn't finish cooking the turkey clear through enough for everyone to eat it.

Although Streep could have panicked, gave up, and took her dinner guests out to a fancy restaurant to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner, she didn't. She thought quickly and called up a friend who she knew would help her save the day and Thanksgiving dinner.

Who was the celebrity friend Streep asked for help from on cooking the rest of the turkey and saving Thanksgiving? None other than the other celebrity we know of who prefers to make her own meals for the holidays, Gwyneth Paltrow.

Luckily, for Streep, Paltrow lives in the same building as her. And, when Streep called Paltrow up and asked for her help, Paltrow wasn't home but told her she would help her anyway. Streep asked for Paltrow's permission to enter her apartment so she could finish cooking her turkey. Paltrow gave her the permission she was looking for.

Streep was happy that she was going to salvage Thanksgiving dinner with her dear friend's help. She was also happy because unlike Streep's oven that doesn't work right and she doesn't like, Paltrow has an awesome oven and she was able to use it.

Streep was able to serve her Thanksgiving dinner to her guests, turkey and everything included.

We are wondering that if Streep couldn't help herself while at Paltrow's place and decided to look through her recipes? Although Paltrow only cooks and eats as healthy as she can, she shares her delicious sounding recipes on her lifestyle website, Goop. They are healthy recipes since that is Gwyneth Paltrow is about, but they also sound very yummy. Paltrow has a way of making healthy food sound good so maybe the food tastes as good as it sounds.

Lucky for Paltrow's fans since she shares her healthy dishes on her website for anyone to try. Her fans absolutely love them too so that says something about how good the food actually is. Some healthy foods that sound delicious that she posted on her website include caramelized brussels sprouts, turkey burgers, and more of what they call 'clean' recipes. Some of the ingredients in these 'clean' recipes include kale and arugula salad.

Although most people serve up the high sugar, rich butter, and lots of fat in their holiday meals, Paltrow serves up the healthiest dishes she can while keeping the flavor.
