Queer comedy lovers rejoice: Hannah Einbinder is filming a comedy special.

Einbinder, an openly bisexual comedian and co-lead of the Max series Hacks, will star in and executive produce her first-ever stand-up special set to debut on Max in June, the streamer announced today. “It’s always been my dream to monetize my coping mechanism,” the actress said in a statement. “Thanks, Max!”

“Like everyone else, we’re blown away by Hannah Einbinder’s performance on Hacks, and we look forward to working with her on her first stand-up special,” Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president of HBO Programming, added.

The *Hacks* star said she only agreed to be a presenter “because from the stage she gets a better view of Zendaya.”

Einbinder’s comedy special will be filmed in front of a live studio audience at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre on April 20. Tickets for the event have already sold out, although the ticketing platform AXS currently suggests users check back in case more tickets become available at a later time. The 28-year-old previously headlined a national stand-up tour in 2022.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to catching Einbinder in Hacks’ upcoming third season, which hits Max on May 2, which will find her reprising her Emmy-nominated role as Ava Daniels, a millennial bisexual writer who is unexpectedly hired to work for veteran Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) after Daniels was “cancelled” over an ill-timed Twitter joke.

Although Hacks season two ended with the unlikely duo suddenly parting ways, the new season’s teaser trailer sees them thrown back together again, bickering over the proper usage of the pronoun “they” ahead of Deborah’s latest stand-up gig. Elsewhere in the teaser, Ava can be seen enjoying a steamy hook-up with a new character played by Christina Hendricks.

Suffice it to say, 2023 is shaping up to be a major year for Einbinder and bisexual comedy enjoyers as a whole. We love to see it!
