‘Hanging up my apron’: Beloved Boston restaurant closing after more than 40 years

A beloved restaurant in Boston will close its doors later this month after more than 40 years of business.

Ristorante Fiore, a North End staple on Hanover Street, is slated to serve up its final meals on Dec. 25, 2022, an announcement on Facebook indicated.

“It has truly been my honor to work with our dedicated team to deliver food, beverage, and hospitality to all of you. Over that time, we have developed relationships and I have seen your families grow,” restaurant ownership wrote. “Today, I am reaching out to share exciting news with you. After much thought, I am hanging up my apron and will retire to spend time with my family, my incredible grandchildren, and do some hunting and fishing.”

Ristorante Fiore also confirmed that it was sold. A future plan for the location remains unclear.

Those who visit the eatery in December can expect to enjoy a seasonally-inspired, classic, Italian menu.

Customers over the years have raved about Fiore’s large portions, array of pastas, extensive wine list, and delicious desserts.
