Halsey Makes a ‘Dream Come True’ for Young Fan Facing Several Health Issues with Visit

Halsey visited 10-year-old social media sensation Bella Thomson, also known as Bella Brave.

On Sunday, the superfan shared a TikTok documenting her meeting with the singer, 29.

Bella has been diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s Disease, SCID (Severe combined immunodeficiency) and dwarfism. Her conditions have caused her to struggle with a non-functioning bowel and no immune system. “Hirschsprung’s Disease is a rare condition where some nerve cells are missing in the large intestine, making stool unable to pass through the body,” per the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation. Bella’s condition impacted her entire colon.

In the video, the two are seen sitting beside one another as they chat. Halsey tells Bella that she would be “an amazing voice actress,” adding, “I bet you would be a professional right away.”

The Grammy nominee then suggested ideas for makeup and costumes for when Bella becomes a famous actress. Halsey also showed off her tattoos to the curious kid and shared the meaning behind a few of the tattoos.

“From hospital stays to heartfelt conversations, meeting Halsey felt like a dream come true,” began the TikTok caption.

“We talked about hopes, dreams, travel, acting, song writing & the power of unwavering friendship & connection. Thank you, Halsey, for being the light in Bella's darkest days. 💫. We love you so much.”

She also added hashtags with uplifting phrases such as “grateful” and “inspiration” and highlighted her new friendship with “friendship goals, “besties,” “bff” and “dream come true” tags.

Halsey shared the video to her Instagram Stories.

“Bella and her family have been like kindred spirits to me for so many years... I tried to play it cool, but this was the best day ever!" the "Colors" singer wrote, adding, “She's the kind of person who just think about, out of nowhere, and smile 🎀."

Bella received a bowel transplant in October 2023. Following the successful procedure, Halsey sent Bella a care package that included the singer’s favorite sweet treats, copies of the singer’s recent albums and a hand-drawn photo of Bella and Halsey together.

At the end of the video, she told Halsey, “We should really hang out sometime and color together and play with my toys. Thank you so much, Halsey.”

Last month, Bella shared a TikTok video serenading her fans with her favorite Halsey song, “Eastside.” She sang directly into the microphone and wore a flower crown with an overall pink and denim dress. As she concluded her rendition of the single, she took a bow for the camera and the viewers.
