The follow-up to last year's Halloween is set to bring back a familiar (masked) face with original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle.

The star confirmed his involvement in the sequels following their announcement this months, which comes after his own cameo in the 2018 movie.

"You can't kill the boogeyman," he tweeted. "Just heard the news. I'm coming back."

However, it seems he won't play the infamous killer, as Castle followed it up by revealing that star James Jude Courtney will once again be Myers in Halloween Kills after the latter took on the role in 2018's Halloween.

"I'll be returning but, you know Big Game James still got the torch! More later," Castle added, so it's unclear right now just who he'll be playing.

Halloween Kills and sequel Halloween Ends were unveiled this month, with co-creator John Carpenter tweeting: "The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode isn't over."

Actor Jamie Lee Curtis will also be back as Strode, which comes as a pleasant surprise as she'd previously expressed uncertainty about her own return.

"I would make an assumption that, if David Gordon Green has a story to tell, that the people involved with the movie would encourage him to tell it," she said.

"I haven't been told whether or not he has a story to tell and whether or not he would include Laurie Strode in the telling. Really, time will tell. I know David is a busy guy."

Halloween Kills will be released on October 16, 2020, and will be followed a year later on October 15, 2021 by Halloween Ends.
