Halloween Kills spoilers follow.
Halloween Kills, the second entry in the legendary horror franchise's revived trilogy, is out now. True to its name, it features a lot of gory deaths at the hands of the iconic Michael Myers.
We're going to delve into one specific killing, and as the film has only just came out and not everyone may have seen it yet, we're not going into spoiler territory until you scroll past this image of Michael deciding whether or not to take the stairs.
In the last 10 minutes of the film, Michael survives being seemingly killed by the mob and delivers some brutal murders, killing Leigh Brackett and Tommy Doyle before turning up to Karen's house and stabbing her to death.
Judy Greer, the actress who plays lead character Laurie Strode's daughter, was understandably a bit miffed that she gets killed off in the final few minutes and (likely) won't be doing much in the third film, but praised the scene for delivering on the terror of a horror movie.
"Well, I was bummed to see the ending," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "I thought it was a good idea, though. I thought it was really beautifully written, and it felt like a dance, like an opera, kind of. But it was also a little bit of a bummer, mostly because I like to play with my friends.
"I learned a lot about the way that they shot that final fight scene with Michael Myers and the townspeople. Listening to [director] David [Gordon Green] talk about it was really interesting, and it was cool to watch it knowing technically how they did it and how they made it look so special. So I watch it now and I’m in awe of our crew."
Andi Matchiak, who plays Karen's daughter Allyson, echoed Greer's statement, saying it was "unfortunately, the right move, which sucks, but they really made it pretty poetic and pretty powerful."
Allyson survives the movie, leaving us to wonder if she'll team up with Grandma Laurie to put a stop to Myers once and for all in the third instalment, Halloween Ends.
