Community Sensory Trunk or Treat at Pueblo Regional Center

3455 Nuckolls Ave. | 2-6 p.m. Friday for members only, and again from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, for the public | Visitors should dress in costume for the Halloween event which features trick-or-treat stations, candy, a scavenger hunt, plus spooky crafts and games. Teal pumpkins will contain allergen-free treats. For the safety of others, fully-covered adult masks or heavy makeup, balloons, weapons and weapon-like items such as hatchets, baseball bats, or swords are prohibited. A Crash Course in Hollywood and Horror at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

210 N. Santa Fe Ave. | 6-9:30 p.m. | The event will include a big screen viewing of the 1968 horror cult classic, “Night of the Living Dead,” directed by the late George A. Romero. Participants should come dressed in costume, participate in mobile horror trivia and visit the cash bar. The film will be followed by an analysis of the movie and Romero’s use of horror as social commentary. Admission is $8 for students, $10 for members, and $12 for nonmembers. Those who pay cash get a $1 discount. No Halloween masks, large bags, or prop weapons will be allowed.

50th Jubilee Celebration at St. Joseph Catholic Church

1145 S. Aspen Road | The Celebrate Search 50th Jubilee will include a 6-9 p.m. Oct. 27 social, a 6-9 p.m. Oct. 28 Sacred Feast, and a 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, prelude music and celebration mass. For details email searchjubilee23@gmail.com.

Kids' Victorian Halloween at Rosemount Museum

419 W. 14th St. | 11 a.m. to when the candy runs out or 2 p.m. | Visitors walk through the mansion at their own pace on a self-guided tour. Children will receive a trick-or-treat bag and will get treats and prizes as they make their way through the many rooms in the mansion. A costume contest will be held and prizes will be awarded in four age categories including ages 2-5, 6–12, 13-18 and family. Admission is $3 for children 3 and older.

Bestselling author talk at Rawlings Public Library

100 E. Abriendo Ave. | 11 a.m. | New York Times best-selling author Shelby Van Pelt, author of the “Remarkably Bright Creatures” will talk about her debut novel. It follows the intertwined lives of Tova, a widowed cleaner at the local aquarium, and one of the aquarium’s residents, a curmudgeonly giant Pacific octopus named Marcellus. This unlikely friendship ultimately helps Tova to uncover a 30-year-old family mystery. The event is free and open to the public.

200 W. B St. | 4-8 p.m. | The Cemetery Express Train will feature a special haunted railcar. The family-friendly event will include a chance to visit the Steel City Cafe food truck. Cost is $15 for locomotive rides, $10 for caboose rides or free for children 3 and younger.

Potato sale at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church

Snow White ballet at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. | Based on a fairy tale by The Brothers Grimm, the ballet of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs plays off the Disney animated movie and sets it to the music of Polish composer Bogdan Pavlovsky. Leading the cast is Kateryna Kukhar, prima ballerina and dance judge for "Dancing With the Stars." The performance will inspire audiences young and old alike with bright costumes and scenery, technical dance and comedic acting that brings the love story to life. Cost ranges from $33 to $81.
