Halloween events upcoming at Grayson Gallery

Oct. 25—GRAYSON — The Grayson Gallery and Art Center's annual Halloween Art Show, Sale and Costume Party/Contest will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the gallery at 301 E. Third St.

The F!nal Fr!day event includes a free, opening reception with seasonal refreshments by Catering by Sheila Marie.

Visitors are encouraged to wear costumes to be eligible for special prizes.

Awards and announcements will be at 7:30 p.m., during which four art awards of $50 each will be given to individual artist's original work for People's Choice (by popular vote), GGAC Board Choice, the Brandon Click Memorial and a cash prize (or a purchase for up to the like amount) from the Pen Lady, Amanda Grigsby.

Entertainment will be by From the Hills. Together as a band for about six years, several members have played together for nearly 30 years. Musicians include Bill Byerly, Jamie Cain, Jay Mabry, George Andy Mayo and Jason Webb; their music can be found on Facebook and their page at Reverbnation.

The gallery's first Haunted Hustle 5K Run/Walk will be Saturday at 5 p.m. and will begin and end at the gallery. Funds raised will go to ongoing operations and arts programs at the gallery.
