Halloween events for grown-ups: Here's what's happening in central Alabama

Who said Halloween is just for kids? We've got several spooky things for grown-ups to enjoy in the days ahead of Halloween.

Weekend Halloween Party

  • Date Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28

  • Time: Friday 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

  • Location: Big Star Tavern, 1449 Highway 82 W., Prattville

  • Info: Friday is Jones Social Club, with no cover. Saturday is the costume contest with DJ Crissy. $10 entry for contest, with three categories: sexiest, scariest, most creative. They’ll have cash prizes, drink specials, giveaways, snacks and more.

Halloween Party

  • Location: The Bottom Bar & Grill, 426 County Road 4 W., Prattville

  • Time: Doors open at noon for college football. Live music with Smith and Buck starts at 8 p.m.

  • Info: Cash and prizes for scariest costume, sexiest costume, and best overall. Food and drink specials all night.

  • Info: Come aboard the Harriott II for a haunting good time! Wear your scariest costumes and enjoy live entertainment from a local Entertainers, cash bar and concessions from our Wheel House Grille. Food and beverage prices vary and some Spooky drink specials will available for this special evening of fun. In order to cruise, you must be 21 and over and wear a costume. Cruises are rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transfereable. All seating is General Admission, first come first serve. Don't Miss the Boo-oat!

  • Info: Fun with music with the band TWELVE. Costumes welcomed.

Andhera to Alabama

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 28

  • Time 9 p.m.

  • Location: Corner Pocket, 5743 Woodmere Blvd., Montgomery

  • Info: Inni Entertainments presents Andhera to Alabama, a Hallowen special Bollywood & South Indian DJ Costume Party.

  • Cost: $10 per person

Trick or Twerk

  • Date: Tuesday, Oct. 31

  • Time: 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

  • Location: Club Aqua, 6408 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery

  • Info: Presented by The Vibe Ent. They’ll have DJ Pugh2Hard on crowd control, and Dash TV will be filming a movie. There’s a best costume contest, twerk contest, and free Spooky Juice all night.
