Whether looking for family-friendly spooks or for more hardcore scares, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, Six Flags Great Adventure and Sesame Place are promising a haunting good time this fall.

All three theme parks have special Halloween-themed events coming up.

Here's the line up:

A Ghost in the Machine at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom

The theme park in Allentown kicks off the frightening festivities with the return of Halloween Haunt on Friday, Sept. 15.

The Halloween Haunt showcases seven standalone mazes, each with a unique theme.

There will also be four scare zones, along with the immersive Ghost In The Machine experience.

According to Dorney Park, the story of the Ghost in the Machine is that, after nearly 100 years of boarded closure, the gates to the McTavish Steel Factory have now opened, allowing exploratory passage through the old, darkened halls of what some deem as an evil place filled with torment and agony.

'Iron Menace' coming to Dorney Park: Dorney Park to build Iron Menace, first dive coaster on East Coast. What riders can expect

"The Ghost In The Machine will tell the chilling backstory of the Iron Menace roller coaster while leading guests on a harrowing, nightmarish adventure through the remnants of Hiram McTavish’s old factory,” said park General Manager Jessica Naderman. "This maze pushed our creative boundaries and will present a taste of what’s to come in 2024.”

The park is building the East Coast's first dive rollercoaster.

Dorney Park keeps the thrill going with the "Conjure the Night" showcase, a live-action Halloween spectacle that features an EDM musical set, along with other Halloween and terror-related elements.

Most of the normal rides will open during Halloween Hunt, but cosplay will not be allowed.

Six Flags Great Adventure brings back Fright Fest

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, NJ, is bringing back Fright Fest for its 30th anniversary.

Six Flags will amp up the scare wattage with six haunted houses, several blackout amusement rides and scare zones — the "Clown Town" scare zone looking to be one of the most chilling — throughout the park.

The themes for the haunted houses will thrill chill-seekers: Aftermath, Big Top Terror, Bloodshed, The Conjuring, Fears, The Manor, Reflections of the Dead, and Saw X all portend the spookiness within.
