Hallmark and Great American Media’s Cameron Mathison and Wife Vanessa’s Relationship Timeline: Model Meet-Cute to Married With Kids

No soap operas here! Cameron Mathison and his wife, Vanessa Mathison (née Arevalo), found love while working as models in the late ‘90s — and they’re still going strong. The Hallmark Channel star first crossed paths with Vanessa in 1998 at a gym in New York City, but it wasn’t until the following year that Cameron asked her out. The twosome have been “inseparable” ever since, according to the former Home & Family cohost, who shared a throwback photo from their first date via Instagram in April 2020. The All My Children alum and the Puerto Rico native tied the knot in July 2002 and have since welcomed two children: son Lucas and daughter Leila. “Happy 18th anniversary @vanessa.mathison ❤️ In the entertainment business it’s like dog years ... you multiply by 7😜,” Cameron joked via social media in July 2020. “Vanessa you are my best friend, my travel partner, my Vajrayogini, and the most loving and supportive wife I could ever imagine.” The Canada native added: “We’ve been through some ups and downs through the years, but it definitely made us stronger. So grateful for you in so many ways🙏🏼❤️.” Two years later, the General Hospital actor again gushed over his spouse while toasting to their two decades as husband and wife. “20 years of marriage💍. 240 months of morning coffee together, 1043 weeks of cherishing each other, 7035 days of togetherness, 175,320 hours of love, and 1 beautiful family❤️,” Cameron captioned a July 2022 Instagram photo of the lovebirds vacationing in Greece. “Happy anniversary my love🙏🏼. I have no idea how you’ve put up with me for 20 years😁.” Vanessa, for her part, paid tribute to the Hannah Swensen Mysteries star while sharing an Instagram video from their wedding day. “20 years ago today I married my best friend and love of my life✨🥂💫,” the photographer wrote alongside her post. “There have been ups and downs but I can’t imagine doing life with anyone else but you. I love you forever @cameronmathison ❤️❤️❤️.” The duo, who reside in California, have continued to stay connected by traveling, spending time as a family and even working together. While Vanessa isn’t an actress, she made an appearance alongside Cameron on General Hospital in 2022 and has been featured on his Great American Media app series, The Good Life with Cameron Mathison, which is part of the company’s Great American Community programming.
