Halle Berry Seemingly Calls Out Drake for Using a Photo of Her Without Permission: ‘I Thought Better of Him!’

The rapper used a photo of the actress covered in green "slime" at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for the cover art of his new single “Slime You Out” featuring SZA

It doesn’t look like Halle Berry is too happy with Drake at the moment.

The Oscar winner, 57, seemingly addressed the 36-year-old rapper not asking her for permission to use a photo of her covered in green “slime” at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for the cover art of his new single “Slime You Out” featuring SZA.

The actress shared a message on her Instagram on Friday that appeared to be directed toward the Canadian singer.

“Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy…even if you’re a woman!” the message read. Letting the post speak for itself, she added a hand emoji with the finger pointing up as the caption.

As several fans speculated that the post was aimed at the "One Dance" singer, Berry confirmed this was the case when she replied to an Instagram user who asked her in the comments what she thought of the cover art for Drake’s newly announced single.

“Didn't get my permission. That’s not cool. I thought better of him!” the Bruised director-star wrote in response.

She added in another comment, “Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!”

She also responded to another user who wrote, “It’s the principle people 🤷🏽‍♀️ You get it... you get it.. you don’t... ohhh well… it’s the principle!”

“Exactly!! It's about principles and integrity. So happy many of you get that,” Berry commented back.

After they both began teasing the song on Wednesday, Drake and SZA, 33, released their collab on Friday when they shared the promotional single artwork and tagged each other in their respective Instagram posts.

“😳💚,” Drake captioned his Instagram post. SZA also shared a series of emojis in the caption of her post: “🤮🤭👀.”

“Slime You Out” marks the second single off Drake’s upcoming album For All the Dogs and the first collaboration between the hip-hop artist (whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham) and the R&B singer (whose real name Solána Imani Rowe).

On the five-minute track, Drake and SZA both criticize childish behavior of ex-lovers and the opposite gender, using Nickelodeon's "slime" as a metaphor for juvenile habits they've seen in past relationships.

"Slimin' you out, I'm slimin' you out, I'm slimin' you out," they each sing on the chorus.
