Halle Berry says Pierce Brosnan saved her from choking on a fig while filming James Bond movie

Surprisingly, Halle Berry is not prone to embarrassing moments.

The Academy Award winning actress once choked during a scene with Pierce Brosnan, who ended up performing the Heimlich maneuver to save her.

"I was doing a scene with Pierce Brosnan in 'Die Another Day,' and I was supposed to be all sexy and, like, trying to seduce him with a fig, and then I end up choking on it," Berry told Jimmy Fallon on NBC's "Tonight Show" Tuesday.

And because James Bond would naturally save the Bond girl, Brosnan sprang into action.

"He had to get up and do the Heimlich," Berry said. "So not sexy."

Fallon remarked that you'd never see James Bond perform the Heimlich in a movie.

"You should've seen it. James Bond knows how to Heimlich. He was there for me," Berry said. "He will always be one of my favorite people in the whole world."

Berry also told Fallon about being quarantined with her two kids. While her daughter, Nahla, 12, is holding up quite well being in the house, she said her son Maceo is "like a madman right now. He's bouncing off the walls, he just doesn't know what's happening. It's really hard for him."

The "Monster's Ball" star has been able to find some creative ways for keeping Maceo occupied.

She uses the 6-year-old as a weight for leg extensions, she wrote in Women's Health, documenting her "Quarantine Workout."

"I even use my son as workout equipment when we're goofing around," writes Berry. "I'll sit in a chair and he'll lay across my feet, and I'll do a few sets of leg extensions."

While Berry's regular four-times-a-week workouts with a partner – which include flipping tires, sparring jujitsu-style and lifting weights – are on hold during the coronavirus lockdown, she's still finding ways to keep in shape.

Her tips:

  • Work in 10-minute intervals "with the goal of doing at least 30 total minutes of more formal exercise per day."

  • "I'll use a chair to do 40 or 50 step-ups per leg on the sidelines to get my heart pumping. To increase the challenge, I'll hold a set of weights in my hands or strap on ankle weights."

  • Some days she'll wear ankle and wrist weights around the house all day.

  • She's a big believer in jumping rope for cardio. "Give me 800 skips with my jump rope, and I'm feeling pretty darn good."
