Everyone should probably know by now that Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid, starring Halle Bailey as Ariel, is out in theaters — and doing extremely well. Like, #1 movie-in-the-world well.

Disney

And if you don't know that it's out, WYD??

From its opening weekend alone, The Little Mermaid has already made an estimated $117 million, which is the biggest opening for a live-action Disney movie thus far. But with Halle's incredible vocals, her chemistry with Jonah Hauer-King' Prince Eric, and the beautiful visuals, I'm really not that surprised.

No one asked, but I definitely cried when Ariel was singing "Part of Your World."

To celebrate such a huge feat, Halle Bailey had her own plans. Over the weekend, Halle posted a TikTok of her going to the theater to watch The Little Mermaid!

The chaos I would have caused alone if I saw Ariel IRL would have been enough to bring the whole theater down, so it makes sense that Halle chose to go incognito. Wearing sunglasses, a big jacket, and a mask, Halle kept it low-key while parading the extremely cute The Little Mermaid–themed popcorn bucket.

And the disguise seemed to work well enough! Halle unnoticeably passed by some excited moviegoers who were taking a selfie with The Little Mermaid movie poster, and I can't stop screaming at the idea of Ariel herself literally being right there in front of them.

The video then showed us Halle watching from the sidelines, along with little snippets of the movie itself! Just wholesome, wholesome content. But I do wonder if anyone was annoyed that some random person was on their phone.

Sorry, but theater etiquette doesn't apply if you're the star of the movie.

I hope Halle got to see and hear a great audience reaction! If it were me in that theater, she would have heard some sniffles for sure. Have you seen The Little Mermaid yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
