In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar that was conducted in late summer but ran on Tuesday, the model mostly talked fashion, but worked in a few details about her largely mysterious relationship with the pop star. While, no, she did not confirm they are married (despite recently deleting the tweet she posted denying that they were married), she did rattle off a list of reasons that make The Biebs so lovable in her eyes. She also made a reference to their future children. Her quotes come at an interesting time — as she and Justin are swept back into a love triangle (at least in the media) with his ex Selena Gomez.
“He is incredible,” Baldwin gushed of the pop star she became engaged to in July and not-so-secretly married in September. “He crushes everything. Every song, every feature. It’s crazy to see what he does. I’m always blown away.”
She also hinted about the children they plan to have together while talking about her tattoos. “I want more, but I’m keeping space for my kids’ names, and certain sentimental things, and I don’t want to fill all the cute spots before … I get there.”
Baldwin admitted that the increased interest in her life has been hard though, even for someone as familiar with fame as the daughter of a celeb. “I’ve had more attention on me than I’ve ever had in my life. Even before,” said the 21-year-old daughter of Stephen Baldwin (and niece of wedding-confirming Alec). She said that makes focusing on her well-being — both emotional and spiritual — tough. “It’s easy to not think about your mental health or your physical health because you keep pushing, pushing, pushing. Before this year, I wasn’t balancing anything.”
Baldwin, who regularly attends Hillsong church services in L.A. with Bieber, also said that religion is important to her. “I actually listen to sermons on my phone when I’m on the road,” she said. She also takes boxing classes, which she says are good for the New Yorker in her. “I’m a bit aggressive sometimes,” she admitted.
Hearing Baldwin talk about Bieber and call him “incredible” — and their future kids — comes at a time when the pair has been linked again with Gomez, Bieber’s former love. Since Gomez was recently hospitalized for mental health treatment, the dots have been connected back to Bieber and his quickie engagement/marriage to Baldwin. It didn’t help that Bieber was photographed crying his eyes out outside his church following news that Gomez was seeking mental health help for her emotional breakdown.
And the triangle talk isn’t limited to tabloids. Reputable entertainment sites like People magazine are reporting that Bieber “is not over Selena,” and that Bieber’s quickie wedding, at a New York City courthouse, caught Gomez “off guard.” An even more brow-raising comment from an unnamed source took it further: “He may or may not have made a mistake with his recent marriage but he was extremely upset over what has happened to Selena.” That quote has mysteriously disappeared from the original story.
E! News reports that the “Sorry” singer feels “confused and conflicted” about the situation.
That’s likely not exactly a heap of fun for the newly wed Mrs. Bieber. In fact, yesterday, while they were out together, the paparazzi actually awkwardly asked Bieber if he had spoken to Gomez recently — in front of Baldwin. During times like that, hopefully she’ll remember her own words about how “incredible” her husband is.
