Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen Make First Public Appearance Together at NHL Game

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are celebrating the start of NHL season!

The actress, 26, and Buffalo Bills quarterback, 27, attended a game between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers on Thursday night at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.

Steinfeld and Allen were snapped in the stands in what appeared to be a suite as they watched the season-opener match, which the Rangers won 5-1.

The appearance marked Steinfeld and Allen's first public appearance together, after first being linked romantically this past spring.

Allen and the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star were first linked in May 2023, shortly after rumors circulated that the athlete had split from his longtime girlfriend, Brittany Williams.

Steinfeld and Allen were officially confirmed to be dating later that month, per a source close to the actress. The insider told PEOPLE that the two had been “hanging out for a few weeks” and are a “cute couple.”

"It's new, but they are having fun," the source added.

While the couple didn’t confirm their relationship then — and haven’t since — they have been spotted going on multiple dates, and Steinfeld was even seen spending time with Allen’s mother.

Allen addressed the attention on their relationship during an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast in August, when asked whether he'd seen headlines about him "making out with his girlfriend" since they began spending time together.

"The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind," the football star responded.

He then went on to condemn the lengths some photographers have gone to catch a photo of him and the Hawkeye actress.

Allen recalled a specific instance where he saw a photographer "on a boat" trying to snap a shot of the pair, saying it's a "gross feeling" and creates a sense of "insecurity" for him and Steinfeld.

While neither Allen nor Steinfeld have publicly confirmed the status of their relationship, the NFL player took no issue with the podcast's hosts referring to her as his girlfriend during the chat.
