Who had the best booths at this year's Arts in the Heart of Augusta festivities?

Arts in the Heart of Augusta has come and gone. The festival featured dozens of vendors with different themes, activities and merchandise. But who had the best?

The Greater Augusta Arts Council awarded the best fine arts and Global Village booths on Sunday.

Food-related awards went to the following international booths:

  • Best Meal: India

  • Best Meat on a Stick: Vietnam and Laos

  • Best Dessert: Germany

  • Best Specialty Drink: South Sudan

  • Judges Award: Trinidad

The top fine arts prize went to mixed media artist Leif Johansen, second went to leatherworker John Carraby, and third went to glass artist Lisa Mote. Merit Awards went to wildlife artist Stephen Koury, crocheter Jenny Alpaugh, and stoneware artist Noah Kirk.
