On Saturday, the 32-year-old posted footage on Instagram to share that she was being a “total tourist” as she visited several popular spots in N.Y.C. with her husband Ryan Scott Anderson.

“At the beautiful Central Park in NYC,” Blanchard wrote in the caption to one photo of her sitting on the edge of the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.

Blanchard also shared videos of her walking around in Times Square and sitting in balcony seats with Anderson, 37, as they waited to watch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway.

“Hey everybody! So we are in Times Square. Look at this … isn’t this epic?” Blanchard said in the first clip. “Oh my god, I’m so enjoying my time right now. We’re just walking Times Square and doing a little shopping.”

“I just bought a ‘I Love New York’ T-shirt, which was on my bucket list, so that was pretty awesome,” she added.

Finally, Blanchard posted a video with further highlights from her fun trip.

"First time in New York City. Thank you all for embracing me," she wrote alongside the Reel, which began with her in a car, and included shots of herself and Anderson posing in various locations, shots of N.Y.C including the exterior of Radio City Music Hall and Blanchard being photographed on a red carpet.

A Munchausen by proxy victim, Blanchard was freed from prison in Missouri on Dec. 28. She was granted early release after serving eight years of a 10-year sentence, after pleading guilty in 2016 for her role in the 2015 murder of her abusive mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.

Gypsy plotted the killing of her mother with her then-boyfriend Nicholas "Nick" Godejohn, who is currently serving a life sentence for Dee Dee’s murder.

Since her release, Gypsy has been spending time with family and friends. Her fun N.Y.C. sightseeing trip comes amid a whirlwind visit to the city to promote her Lifetime docuseries The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, which also features husband Anderson, whom she married on July 21, 2022.

On Friday, her husband spoke to PEOPLE at the premiere of the docuseries in New York City and discussed their plans to have "proper" nuptials in the future.

"We want a proper wedding at some point," he told PEOPLE. He and Gypsy first connected in 2020, when Anderson started to write to his now wife in prison. The pair began exchanging emails and eventually met in June 2021.

The following year, the couple, without any guests attending, married in a small ceremony in prison.

"Gypsy deserves a white dress moment. I know every female deserves that. And Gypsy's already got the style of dress she wants. And it kind of shocked me," Anderson said, before revealing that he had only recently discovered that his wife had a "specific" gown in mind.

"Somebody asked her that question the other day, and I was like, 'Wow, that was specific,' and she had it ready. So I wanna give her that moment," he explained.
