Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex Ryan Anderson says he was ‘blindsided’ by split: ‘I’m not doing too well’

Everything is not coming up roses for him.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex-husband Ryan Scott Anderson officially broke his silence two weeks after it was announced that the pair were seeking a divorce.

“I’m not doing well with it,” Anderson, 37, told the Daily Mail on Friday adding that “it just came out of the blue.”

According to Anderson, he was “blindsided” over how quickly Blanchard had jumped back into a relationship with her former fiancé Ken Urker.

“I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him,” he told the outlet.

“I haven’t spoken to her, so I just don’t know what’s going on,” Anderson added. “I’m at a loss. I’m really not doing well at all.”

In a video uploaded to TikTok on Saturday, Anderson thanked several of his supporters who had sent him words of encouragement during the hard times.

“Hey everybody,” Anderson began. ” I just wanna say thank ya’ll for the support and the nice messages I’ve been getting from people.”

Anderson, who recorded the video at a friend’s house, said he’s been “living [his] life” and promised that people will see “what really happened” between him and his ex-wife.

Urker and Blanchard, 32, had initially been engaged in 2018, while she had still been in prison for plotting the 2015 stabbing death of her abusive mom, Dee Dee Blanchard.

The pair had reportedly broken up in 2019.

In 2020, Anderson contacted Blanchard via snail mail and the duo began developing a relationship through the correspondence.

Anderson married Blanchard in 2022 and was there to take her home when she was released from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center in December 2023.

The convicted murderer revealed that she and Anderson had decided to split on Facebook before she deleted her profile on the popular social media app.

“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents [sic] home down the bayou,” she reportedly wrote per People.

“I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find … who I am.”

A few days later, Blanchard was spotted holding Urker’s hand as the pair stepped out to run a few errands at a Dollar General in South Louisiana.

Urker and Blanchard later took to TikTok Live to confirm they were not sleeping together.

“We have not had any intimacy. We’re just hanging out as friends,” Urker said, per TMZ.

Blanchard also took the time to quell the rumors that she was pregnant. “I’m on birth control. Like, what the hell,” she said.

Earlier this week, it was reported by Urker’s mother that both he and the ex-con had gotten matching husky tattoos.

On Thursday, Blanchard revealed that she was set to undergo a nose job.

“I’m going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too,” she said to People.

Blanchard later told the outlet that she “was in pain at first but I am on pain medicine.”

“I can’t breathe through my nose because of the packing but that comes off on the 10th,” she shared.
