Gypsy Daisy brings home decor and party planning to Cambridge

Plan your parties and find home décor at the recently opened Gypsy Daisy at 826 Wheeling Ave. in downtown Cambridge. Vicki Stillion has put together a business that offers a combination of items you can use for home or celebration.

“My goal is to offer affordable pricing and a warm cozy atmosphere that leaves the customer with the desire to revisit again and again,” she said.

Stillion went to Buckeye Trail High School and after receiving her master's degree in business administration from Franklin University returned to the area. She recently worked as the owner/trainer of Still Services LLC, a safety program for oil and gas wells. During that time she discovered, “Money doesn't make you happy.”

Stillion said she always had the desire to decorate her home, plan and create parties and events, and make memorable gifts for family and friends. She was encouraged to find a place to showcase her talents and decided to open a store in downtown Cambridge.

Thus, she created Gypsy Daisy to assist individuals and businesses with parties and events. “I love to help bring their visions to life or help them create one altogether.”

The name of the store is a combination of two things. Stillion has always considered herself a gypsy soul – someone that dances to the beat of their own drum. She's free-spirited and likes to do what feels right to her. Yellow daisies are her favorite flower so she has incorporated the name and color into her business.

Stillion will also help you with the interior decoration of your home or office. She tells customers, “I want to be able to relieve the stress, burden, and planning altogether for you so you may focus on what's important.” And the most popular events she organizes are weddings and birthday parties for 1-year-olds.

In the future, she would like to have classes for creating items for home décor or perhaps wreaths when more space opens up in the building.
