Gwyneth Paltrow is making a major adjustment to her luxury real estate portfolio. The Goop founder is selling her longtime Los Angeles home for nearly $30 million, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. Luckily, she has a few other homes to split her time between as she looks to downsize in L.A., and we’ve compiled everything you need to know about them. From the Hamptons home where Paltrow married her husband, Brad Falchuk, to the Montecito retreat she once compared to Grey Gardens, get the details on the Shakespeare in Love star’s current properties below.

The Hamptons Home

In 2006, Paltrow and her ex Chris Martin purchased a Hamptons home for $5.4 million. Spanning 7,000 square feet, the home located in Amagansett consists of five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. Inside, the home reportedly takes on a pastel color palette apart from the kitchen, which features dark cabinetry and white walls.

Since scooping up the property, Paltrow has held many glamorous events for Goop collaborations at her Hamptons home, particularly in the backyard and garden. In 2018, four years after her split with Martin, Paltrow married producer Brad Falchuk in the backyard. They exchanged vows near a tree where her father's ashes were buried. We imagine this residence will continue to remain a special one in her life for many years to come.

The Los Angeles Mansion

Paltrow originally purchased her longtime Los Angeles home with Martin for $9.95 million in 2012, and it turns out she’s ready to say farewell to the place now that her kids are college-age. According to the WSJ, she is selling the property for a whopping $29.99 million. Located in the city’s Brentwood neighborhood, the single-story home sits on two-thirds of an acre, spans 8,000 square feet, and includes six bedrooms. It was built in the 1950s and gut-renovated around 2009, listing agent Lea Porter of the Beverly Hills Estates told the outlet. Paltrow upgraded the home with a one-bedroom guest house around 2022. It encompasses many enviable luxuries: a wine cellar, gym, office, game room, movie theater, and garage with an apartment above it. While the property may not be part of her real estate holdings for much longer, we’re eager to find out what downsizing in L.A. will look like for Paltrow and Falchuk.

The Montecito Retreat

When Paltrow secured about 2.4 acres of land in Montecito for $4.9 million in 2016, the ocean-view property had two fixer-uppers built in the late 1980s on it. She compared the condition of the estate to the decay of Grey Gardens in a 2022 interview with Architectural Digest. “There were wild animals living there and swarms of bugs, but I fell in love with the land and the views,” she told the outlet.

Paltrow tore down those dilapidated residences to make way for her dream home. She worked with Roman and Williams and Romanek Design Studios to bring her vision of “a Parisian apartment set within an old European barn, something with high ceilings, flooded with light, a place that feels generous yet manageable at the same time” to life. A fairly neutral color palette, natural materials, and a mix of textures give the home a nurturing, classic feel. Strategic wallcoverings, including a blue-gray forest mural in the dining room, and pops of color, like the sybaritic home spa’s pale green tiles, add character. There’s also a guest house on the property. In 2023, Paltrow teamed up with Airbnb to let two lucky winners stay in her guest house. With a brass-laced kitchen, a serene bedroom, and a dramatic marble bathroom stocked with Goop products, the pad is just as luxurious as the main house.
