The actress recalled the time Kiefer Sutherland "babysat me and my brother"

Gwyneth Paltrow had an "awesome" high-profile babysitter.

On a new episode of Hot Ones, the actress and Goop founder, 51, revealed that Kiefer Sutherland was at one point her babysitter as a kid.

"Isn't that cool?" said Paltrow. "I was at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where my mom (actress Blythe Danner) was doing plays, and he was an apprentice."

"And he babysat me and my brother [Jake Paltrow]. And he was awesome," she raved of the now-famous Sutherland, 57, who is the son of actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas.

Sutherland has discussed babysitting Paltrow, like in a 2009 interview when he said, "I was working in a theater with [Gwyneth's] mother ... and I believe on a couple of occasions I was asked to look after her for an hour or two."

"I think it was very funny because it's unbelievable how fast someone goes from 13 to 18, and obviously they look so different that when Gwyneth started to work, I thought, 'Well, that must be another girl,' because I always remember her as being 11 or 12 years old," recalled the 24 alum.

Paltrow has had her own experiences babysitting — like when she looked after Beyoncé's now-12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy back in 2016, while Blue's mom performed in the Super Bowl halftime show alongside Bruno Mars and Coldplay, the latter fronted by Paltrow's ex Chris Martin. (Paltrow and Martin, 47, share daughter Apple, now 19, and son Moses, now 17.)

"It's really funny. It's like my kids' dad and Blue's mom are always doing these incredible, mind-boggling things and I'm always with the kids and the snack bag and baby wipes and juice boxes," Paltrow told Entertainment Tonight following the big game, per Yahoo! Entertainment.

Aside from parenting her own kids, Paltrow also has experience being a stepmom to husband Brad Falchuck's kids Brody, 18, and Isabella, 19.

Earlier this month at the Visionary Women's International Women’s Day Summit in Los Angeles, the Oscar winner said while she loves her bonus babies, “the path to here was really rough.”

"I really like to talk about this because it's one of my biggest learnings as a human being. And my area of growth personally came from the initial difficult relationship I had with my stepkids, and now they're like my kids," Paltrow said.

The Iron Man actress added that when it comes to raising stepchildren, “It's almost like you have to embody the spirit of the sun and just give and not expect anything back.”

“I just learned to try to just keep shining like the sun and never keeping score," she said.
