Gwyneth Paltrow on Picking a Wedding Date Near Her Birthday: 'It Creates a Magical Week’ (Exclusive)

Gwyneth PaltrowThe last week of September is packed with celebrations for Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, who strategically planned her wedding date (Sept. 29) close to her birthday (Sept. 27).
When preparing to marry TV writer and producer Brad Falchuk in 2018, Paltrow says she knew she wanted the two events to be close together.
"It creates a magical week," she says. "It's a really nice celebration of my birthday, of each other, of our family."
The Goop founder and CEO, who recently launched good.clean.goop, a new line of skin care, body care and wellness products available at Target and Amazon for $40 or less, says this year there was even more to celebrate because of her company.

"This year is very special because Goop is turning 15, which is crazy. I can't even believe it," she says.
While last year she celebrated her 50th by posing wearing gold body paint — and nothing else — in an image shared with Goop followers and on Instagram, to mark her 51st birthday this year she kept things "super simple."
"Last year, we kind of went all out, multiple dinners in different places and stuff like that," she says.
However, this year, she planned to have a small dinner with her best friend, Mary, who has been her friend since kindergarten, and a few other friends. As for her anniversary, she and Falchuk enjoyed some quality time together.
Paltrow celebrated the day with a series of couple photos on her Instagram. In the snaps, she and Falchuk appeared to be in the desert. She captioned her post, "❤️5❤️."
