Jennifer Lopez and Sydney Sweeney stepped out in similar styles recently

When in doubt, break out the baggy jeans.

Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, shared a sweet photo with Dakota Johnson on her Instagram Story last week, and there’s a lot to be said — about the Goop founder’s jeans, of course. Her pants were roomy, relaxed, and really comfortable-looking, and they looked similar to a style we spotted on the actress back in August. Furthermore, they were surprisingly stylish and, honestly, seemed perfect for the days when you just really don’t want to get dressed.

As for the rest of the look, Paltrow zipped up in a warm winter jacket and threw on some comfy sneakers. She also wore a gray beanie to cover up her ears and had some sunnies nearby.

Jennifer Lopez wore super slouchy jeans in August, while we’ve also recently seen them on Sydney Sweeney and Hailey Bieber. And last year, Jennifer Lawrence, Hilary Duff, Gigi Hadid, and more celebrities wore the comfy pants style, too.

As the holidays approach and you start getting a handle on your party ’fits, keep baggy jeans in mind: You can dress them up with some flashy accessories and a statement blouse, and they’ll keep you warmer than a skirt or dress with tights. Plus, pairs are as little as $31.

Hdlte High-Waist Wide-Leg Boyfriend Jeans

These $44 jeans from Hdlte have that same nonchalant look as Paltrow’s with their fabric that practically pools at the ankles — if this seems like a hazard for you, a tall shoe could reduce this effect. Plus, the classic blue washes are great for less fancy pursuits like picking out Christmas trees or family walks. However, you can also get them in black or with asymmetrical waistbands if you still want to wear jeans but feel like you tried a little bit harder.

Old Navy

These Old Navy jeans are the most affordable pair on our list, coming in at $31 when you use the code HURRY at checkout. They’re high-waisted, which is a flattering style Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez wear, and have a wide-leg silhouette, which is spacious, but not stretchy. In other words, they’re the opposite of Jennifer Garner’s ballet jeans. And they “fall almost like a palazzo [pant],” according to one shopper, but they’re also “not overly voluminous” either.

Joe’s Jeans Dalia Cargo Jean, $80 (Save $148)

You can also get the same look with a pair of cargo jeans, another denim style J.Lo wears. This pair at Gilt comes in a deep blue wash that looks a little less denim-obvious, and they’re available in sizes 24 to 32, so you can get the perfect amount of slouch for you.
