Gwen Stefani talks walking the red carpet with Blake Shelton: 'It's just not his thing'
Gwen Stefani arrived on the People's Choice Awards red carpet Sunday night in a Vera Wang gown ready to talk all things fashion ahead of her Fashion Icon Award win – though her beau Blake Shelton stood out in a casual blazer and jeans.
The singer, formerly of "No Doubt," told E! host Giuliana Rancic that this is not Shelton's typical night out.
"It scares me on the red carpet with Blake because he never does the red carpet," Stefani said. "I think we've only done like three."
"It's just not his thing," she added. "Oklahama guy. He's the real deal. Talk about real."
Stefani and Shelton are both judges on this season of "The Voice."
Shelton celebrated his 43rd birthday earlier this year by going to a Chicago aquarium with Stefani, who gave him a shoutout in a birthday post on Instagram.
"Happy b day to my favorite human!!!" she wrote, thanking Chicago's Shedd Aquarium for entertaining them for the day.
Other big award recipients Sunday night are Jennifer Aniston and Pink, who are being awarded with the People's Icon and People's Champion Award, respectively.
