'The Voice' finale aired December 17th 2019 in which team Kelly member Jake Hoot was deemed the winner. However, 'The Voice' finale wasn't just the end of the season, it was also the end of coach Gwen Stefani's time on the show. Nick Jonas will be taking Stefani's place next season.

However, Stefani's time on 'The Voice' was spent sporadically. She coached on seasons 7, 9, 12 and 17. So this may not be her last time on the hit singing competition.

Gwen hinted to Extra that she may return.

"We've had so much fun together," she said. "What a great group of human beings. It never gets old, this show ... To be back four times, it's a miracle. Hopefully, maybe I will be back one day, we will see ... If not, thank you guys for watching."

She speaks of her time on the show fondly.

"I feel accomplished. I feel like I've done a thing. I feel like a brand new person. I feel beautiful," she told PEOPLE.

"I feel fearless. I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. I feel grateful that my heavenly father gave me permission to go on this journey."

Blake Shelton was also sad to hear that his wife would no longer be on the show. He jokingly took his frustration out on her replacement Nick Jonas.

"I'm gonna take it out on Nick Jonas," Shelton told Extra. "He's gonna be sitting there, new guy ... I'm gonna bully him a little bit, to be honest."

He had also told Entertainment Tonight, "He's going down! He replaced my girlfriend and that's unacceptable."

Fans were just as devastated that Stefani won't be returning next season. Some even vowed that they'd no longer watch the show. PopCulture collected a series of tweets that depicted fans' outrage.

"I exit with Gwen Stefani. Good bye The Voice," one Twitter user wrote.

"Just like Gwen, I'm done with The Voice!!! Katie got robbed!!!" another said.

"The best part of the show is Gwen Stefani and she leaving," someone else agreed.
