The wedding plans for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton‘s wedding are officially on and we are getting a better look at what their nuptials might look like, thanks to a source close to Stefani. It seems that the original plans of a small family affair have morphed into “two weddings” — one for family and another one for their A-list friends — according to Life & Style. Of course, all of the planning does have COVID in mind, so some of these plans might have to wait until later in 2021.

For Gwen, she knows exactly what she wants for her second wedding, after being married to former Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale for 14 years. The intimate ceremony could happen soon because The Voice judge would love to have a “Christmas wedding with the family there.” The source insists that all safety protocols and testing will be followed and that the “small” event would take place “at the house in Oklahoma.”

Our girl Gwen isn’t content with just one wedding, like her first marriage to Rossdale, she wants a second wedding after the pandemic is over. This will be a “big ceremony” and celebration, but they also want to have it at home in Los Angeles. “They’re hoping it’ll be next year at their new Encino home because it’s easily accessible for their celebrity friends and the perfect setting,” says the insider. “The house is gorgeous!”

When it comes to fashion, the “Hollaback Girl” singer hopes to find a designer gown from heavy-hitters like Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Dolce & Gabbana. It has to top her first wedding gown, which was a hot pink ombre gown by John Galliano for Christian Dior. She’s not going to go for the princess look, it will be a “long, white, fitted gown with an edgy touch — nothing too revealing,” shares the source.

And don’t expect Blake and her three sons from her first marriage, Kingston,14, Zuma,12, and Apollo,6, to be fitted in jeans and a cowboy hat, it’s strictly formal — just the way Gwen wants it. Blake might not love a suit, “but he’ll do it for Gwen.” The boys, who will also be groomsmen, will get to play with fashion and “choose their own tuxedos at the big wedding.”

The wedding comes after a long five-year courtship with Blake honoring Gwen’s wishes of an old-school proposal, complete with permission from her dad and her three sons. Expect the couple to also keep the ceremony “personal” by writing their vows because it will be a day “close to their hearts.”

The one surprise Blake has for Gwen might be the most romantic one of all — a song about his wife.

“Blake’s written a love song about Gwen, too, which he’ll sing live,” says the source. That will probably bring down the house and make Gwen the happiest bride on her wedding day.
