Gwen Stefani Celebrates Her First-Born's 18th Birthday with a Walk Down Memory Lane

Gwen Stefani is officially the mom of an 18-year-old.

On Sunday, the No Doubt singer posted a nostalgic video tribute for her eldest son, Kingston, to celebrate his 18th birthday. Stefani captioned the Instagram post, “happiest of birthdays Kingston🤍 my first born baby boy 🙂 cannot believe u are 18 today… i love u! 🥰”

The sweet message accompanied a short Reel compilation of photos and videos spanning Kingston’s childhood. Set to “Kingston Town” by UB40, the video began with a clip of a young Kingston showing off a crystal ball. “It tells the future,” he said, earnestly adding, “It’s really hard to find.”

Stefani followed the cute clip with photos of Kingston from infancy to now adulthood. Snapshots included a sweet moment of Stefani cuddling with her swaddled newborn, several cheeky pics of baby Kingston with a mohawk, and a few behind-the-scenes photos of Stefani being glammed while toddler Kingston hung out with her.

The video continued with footage of Kingston greeting his newborn brother Zuma, a few videos and photos of Kingston showing off his own musical talent, some sweet family photos including Stefani’s husband Blake Shelton, and moments from school sports occasions late in Kingston’s high school career. The 18-year-old popped into the comments with “🤗🤗” in response.

Stefani shares Kingston and her two younger sons, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10, with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. The Bush frontman also celebrated Kingston’s 18th with an Instagram tribute. Rossdale shared a few photos of Kingston and wrote, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY KINGSTON – 18 today and a massive step into your future.” His caption continued, “so far the best ride of my life and i can’t wait to see where you go from here. i have total belief in you and deeply admire the man within. you have grace, charm and humility.”

The musician added, “you are at the wheel of your destiny so choose wisely. your musical talent is nuts and soon the world will hear your heart sing. follow your muse, stay curious and keep creating.” Rossdale sweetly concluded, “i could not love you more than i do. i wish you all the happiness all the health and all the creativity. love you dad. ❤️”

Kingston sweetly replied in the comments, “best dad ever,” followed by a second comment, “i love you so much! ❤️❤️”

Additionally, the birthday boy shared an Instagram Story documenting his milestone day. Set to “1979” by Smashing Pumpkins, Kingston snapped a photo of a stack of Japanese-style pancakes topped with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries. “so it begins 🍻,” he captioned the shot. So it begins, indeed.
