Music composer and actor GV Prakash and his singer wife Siandhavi have confirmed their separation. The two were married for almost 11 years and the news of their divorce has come as a shock to their fans. In their announcement, the two revealed that their decision to part ways is mutual and even asked for some privacy from their fans and media.
However, following their big announcement, the two have been subject to trolls. As a result, GV Prakash recently addressed the hate comments and revealed how they are hurting.

Taking to Instagram, GV Prakash recently penned a long note in Tamil. The actor mentioned how disheartening it is to receive hate comments for their separation. Per Pinkvilla, he wrote, “It’s disheartening to see people debating about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding. It is unacceptable to pass comments on the personal lives of people just because they’re celebrities. Have Tamil people’s honor come down so much that they do not realize how their comments might hurt people?”
The Tamil music composer added that his and his ex-wife’s families know the reason behind their separation. “The reason behind our separation has been conveyed to our family members and friends. We took this decision after careful consideration.” He further requested people to respect their emotions amid the separation. “I’m writing this to convey that your comments, whatever the intentions may be, are hurting. Please respect the emotions of everyone. My thanks to everyone for their support.”
In their official divorce announcement, GV Prakash wrote, “After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other.” They further asked for privacy and turned the commenting option off on the post.
