Guy Fieri Jumps Onstage at 3 Doors Down Concert to Play Guitar — Watch

The Food Network star was "filling in" for the band’s guitarist, Chet Roberts

When Guy Fieri isn’t eating his way across the U.S., judging cooking competitions, or opening up a new restaurant, he’s apparently shredding on the guitar.

The Food Network star, 55, jumped onstage during a 3 Doors Down concert in Boca Raton, Florida. Fieri was holding a guitar, and joined in just as the band was playing its popular 2002 song “I Feel You.”

The day after the concert, Fieri took to Instagram with a series of photos and videos from the night before — which included a selfie with lead singer and drummer Brad Arnold at the end of their set. In the caption of the post, Fieri explained that he was there “filling in” for the band’s guitarist, Chet Roberts.

"I swapped in for @chet3doorsdown last night at the @3doorsdown concert Bahaha. Had a blast, thanks for havin’ me!!" Fieri’s caption read.

Roberts took to Instagram to comment on the evening's events, saying that he regards Fieri as his “long lost twin.” He also revealed that the chef’s cameo came as a surprise to the rest of the band.

“Met my long lost twin last night in Boca!! What a great dude!! Guy even came out in the middle of the show with my guitar on 'filling in for me' and surprising Brad mid song! Fun times!” Roberts' post read.

Clearly, the rest of the band got a kick out of the surprise — Arnold commented on Fieri’s Instagram post that his presence was “great.”

“It was awesome havin’ you fellas!!” Arnold added.

This wasn’t the first time Fieri took the stage at a major concert. During Stagecoach festival in Indio, California, Fieri hopped onstage during country singer Jon Pardi’s set. However, he wasn’t there to perform — instead, he presented Pardi, and his audience, with a video appearance from fellow musician Alan Jackson. At that moment, Jackson announced Pardi’s induction into the Grand Ole Opry.

Aside from the usual antics, Fieri has recently been very involved in philanthropy — particularly to support Maui following the island’s devastating wildfires. In August, the  Guy Fieri Foundation announced that it would be hosting a “Chefs for Maui Fundraiser” on Oct. 21. Alongside other famous chefs, Fieri will be whipping up a 15-course feast in Sonoma County, California. The event will also include live music, and celebrity chef meet-and-greets.

“I’ve shot over 16 locations in Maui for my shows, and I travel to Maui with my family year after year for vacation. It is such a special place, and what makes it special are the people," Fieri told PEOPLE during an exclusive August interview. "To think of those people that love their island, and love their families, and make visitors feel welcome, we need to stop what we’re doing and do what we can to help them.”
