Guy Fieri Jokes You Could ‘Meet Your Life Partner’ at His Super Bowl Tailgate — Like His Son Did! (Exclusive)

Guy Fieri knows how to win the hearts of football fans — and align them, too!

When chatting with PEOPLE about the return of his Flavortown Tailgate to Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas, the Food Network star hyped up the food and "cool facets" that attendees can expect — and some they might not expect, too.

Fieri's eldest son Hunter, who recently got engaged to Tara Bernstein, met his future wife at the same tailgate in Feb. 2023.

"Come to Guy's Flavortown Tailgate and meet your life partner! It's Hunter’s love story!" jokes Guy.

In February, Hunter and Bernstein "randomly" crossed paths amid the 10,000-plus people in attendance at the Arizona-hosted event, which shattered the record for the largest tailgate ever.

The 2024 party is gunning for bigger and better — this time, right off the Las Vegas Strip.

For Guy, going to a football game "is an experience," he says, "That's why people tailgate! You want to go, and have the whole day... You don't want to just go for the three hours of the game."

However, tailgating at the Super Bowl isn't as common in comparison to the 272 games throughout the NFL's regular season. "There's no tailgate," explains Guy, who has attended the Super Bowl many times.

"There are a couple parties here and there, but not everybody gets to go to them," he says. That's why he teamed up with Pepsi to throw the "world's best tailgate."

Best of all, it's free to fans of all ages. Fans don't even have to own a Super Bowl ticket to attend. Guy thought, "Why don't we throw a party for them, to let them come, and really get an experience, feel the energy of the Super Bowl?"

In addition to Pepsi, the presenting sponsor of the event, the Food Network star partnered with Medium Rare (Shaquille O'Neal's personal live event platform). Returning to Guy's Flavortown Tailgate stage is Diplo, who Guy says "crushed it last year in Arizona." Joining him is "country superstar" Dustin Lynch, who's also providing the songs and sounds for the football festivities.

"So we've got the country music. We've got the mixed music. We've got interactions. We've got activities. We've got great cocktails. We've got a VIP section overlooking the entire event," says Guy. "There's so much cool stuff happening and it's right off the strip in Vegas, behind the big Ferris wheel."

Plus, the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star says he's got Triple D restaurants providing food at the event, in addition to Vegas pop-up restaurants. There will even be a Pepsi bar, custom-curated Pepsi cocktails, and thoughtfully curated culinary pairings throughout the event.

"You name it. We got it!" Fieri adds.

"This tailgate really is a dream come true," he tells PEOPLE. "I'm so passionate about football... I look forward to football season. I wish we could just have it all year round. I'd be the happiest person in the world."

On Dec. 12, fans can register to attend Guy's Flavortown Tailgate on its official website, where VIP tickets and hospitality are also available for purchase. Cash App card holders will have guaranteed access to the event’s free tickets for the next 24 hours.
