Prithviraj Sukumaran is one of the most versatile actors in the Malayalam cinema. After portraying the lead in the survival drama Aadujeevitham and Bollywood film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the actor has starred in the family comedy-drama Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. The latest movie boasts a huge cast and has certainly intrigued the audience.
While the movie is all set to hit the theaters, several details about it have been revealed, including its plot details. Director Vipin Das has shared how the movie is based on a conflicted wedding in an interview.

After a long wait, the makers of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil confirmed that the movie’s official release date is May 16, 2024. Besides Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring many talented actors. Basil Joseph plays the second lead role in the film, while Anaswara Rajan and Nikhila Vimal are the leading ladies. The rest of the cast includes Yogi Babu, Jagadish, Irshad, Baiju Santhosh, Rekha, Siju Sunny, and more.
Talking about the movie’s plot, director Vipin Das revealed that Prithviraj Sukumarn and Basil Joseph play brothers-in-law. In the interview with The Hindu, the director said, “Prithviraj and Basil play brothers-in-law who also happen to be good friends. Their chemistry and banter enhance the movie.”
The movie is set against the backdrop of a typical Indian wedding because of which the makers brought in a huge star cast. He said, “Each character, irrespective of screen time, has a certain space in the film.” He added that the film proceeds when there is a mixup at the temple. A groom marries a woman who is not his fiance. Moreover, the woman hates him.
For the unversed, Deepu Pradeep has served as the movie’s writer. It is bankrolled by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment. Reviews of the movie are awaited.
