Guns N’ Roses played their first show of 2019 to a sold-out crowd at the intimate Hollywood Palladium on Saturday (September 21st). The rock legends delivered a 23-song set over two hours and 45 minutes.

Fans lucky enough to obtain tickets through the exclusive Citi Sound Vault sale witnessed Axl Rose (sporting a shorter haircut) and company performing classics like “Welcome to the Jungle”, “November Rain”, Patience”, “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, and “Paradise City”.

Some choice covers included Pink Floyd’s classic “Wish You Were Here” and a tribute to the late Glen Campbell with a version of Jimmy Webb’s legendary “Wichita Lineman”. The band even dipped into the songbook of Slash’s old supergroup Velvet Revolver for a take on “Slither”.

Situated on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of the band’s old Los Angeles stomping grounds, the Hollywood Palladium gig came in advance of a string of headlining and festival shows in the United States and Mexico. The band will kick off the five-week run on Wednesday, September 25th in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Guns N’ Roses’ “Not in This Lifetime Tour” — featuring the reunion of classic members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan — has grossed more than $500 million. Following the fall dates, the band plans to hit the studio to work on a long-awaited new album.
