Your guide to 2024 Indy 500 concerts: Carb Day, Legends Day and the Snake Pit

Here's to another round of race weekend tunes and the tomfoolery that accompanies them. While the drivers compete for the coveted Indianapolis 500 trophy, several musical acts and their audiences offer some of the best fun and people-watching you'll find anywhere.

As you prepare your race weekend outfits and locate the sunscreen — please, in case you end up, ahem, napping under direct sunlight — take a look through this guide. You'll find the concerts, times and ticket information to make the most of a memorable weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and downtown.

Carb Day concert

Ready yourselves for a massive singalong to "Bad to the Bone," "No Particular Place To Go" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer." George Thorogood & The Destroyers are headlining what speedway President Doug Boles calls the unofficial start of summer.

The rock band Gin Blossoms, the concert's special guest, will bring their singular vibe that helped define the '90s and remains timeless thanks to hits like "Found Out About You" and "Til I Hear It From You."

Opening the concert is Indianapolis' Kid Quill, who mixes hip-hop, pop and alternative music.

Legends Day concert

Headliner Riley Green, known for his hits “There Was This Girl" and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died," will continue the race weekend party downtown. He's been named the Academy of Country Music’s 2020 New Male Artist of the Year and recently released the album “Ain’t My Last Rodeo."

When and where: 7 p.m. May 25 at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park

Who's performing at the Snake Pit

You'd be hard-pressed to find this amount of energy and questionable decisions anywhere else at 7 a.m. on a Sunday. Multiple electronic dance music stars will provide the soundtrack to the party with headliner Excision. Joining the Canadian DJ and producer on the bill are Dom DollaGryffinSullivan King and Timmy Trumpet.

When and where: May 26. Concert venue gates open at 7 a.m. and the music starts at 8:15 a.m. Inside Turn 3 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Pre-race day ticket prices: $85 for a Snake Pit wristband. $220 for a VIP Snake Pit wristband. $135 for a Snake Pit wristband and Indy 500 ticket. $270 for a VIP package of the same combination.
