Gucci Mane has released a brand new single and video shortly after dropping his 16th studio album, Breath of Fresh Air.

In his latest track “Cold” featuring Hot Boys vet B.G., the two rap about their time incarcerated, as Guwop spent about three years locked up and B Gizzle, 13. The single also received production from go-to hitmaker Mike WiLL Made-It.

The two respected rhymers have collaborated for the first time in celebration of being free.

Gucci raps the chorus: “Thinking ’bout them cold nights, sleeping in that cold cell/ Eating nothin’ but cold food, they let me out that cold jail/ Soon as I touched down I had to give them folks hell/ Took off all them jail clothes, showered off that jail smell.”

B.G. basks in freedom, but warns that he’s coming to collect what’s due to him.

He raps: “Bounced out of the B.O.P., still toting that stick on me/ All these ho*s tryna f**k (What?), I ain’t giving no di*k for free/ All these people want a show, need that bag C.O.D./ All these lil’ slick posts, say that sh*t to me in the streets/ Smashed all my old beef, smashed out my old teeth/ One by one I’m coming to collect from everybody that owe me.”

The New Orleans star was arrested in 2009 for weapons possession and conspiracy to obstruct justice. Upon his early release in Sept. 2023, he was greeted by longtime collaborator and Cash Money CEO Birdman.

“Real ni**a out, b**ch, let’s get with it,” Baby could be heard saying on Instagram Live at the time while also bearing gifts. Upon B.G.’s birthday, which came the same month as his release, he took to Instagram to express how he felt as a 43-year-old free man.

“After 12 winters and 13 summers, I see the end zone. It’s my last #Birthday being buried alive,” he captioned the post. “This year I’m celebrating the whole Virgo cycle, matter of fact, from this year forward I’m living and celebrating like everyday is #MyBIRTHDAY.

“The main focus, is to stay focused,” he continued. “I’m not letting nobody rob me of my productivity, prosperity, positivity and peace of mind. My dreams then got bigger and my vision is clearer. 13 years was more then enough time for me to change the reckless path I was on.”
